I think its about time to show you all what I work with.

*Swallowing my pride* Yes this is what I use. Its basically just a point and shoot, made for looks alone and pretty much nothing else!

Optical zoom: x 0 (yes absolutely none)
Macro Function: 60cm - 80cm great, if only insects were the sizes of cows, then this might be useful
Manual focus control: hell no, it wouldnt be too bad if you could pull in the focus, but you cant even do a simple this like this!
Tripod mount: Oh no! WHY WHY WHY ! so steady hands are needed
LCD: tiny, and low quailty, means judging whats in focus(not that you have any control, so it really doesnt matter)its impossible
You cant even select the ISO, let alone any manual appature or shutter setting.
Start up time! about 5 seconds!!! and then latentcy! another second, so situations where you want to quickly get it out and then capture the motion, forget it, unless you can take a picture before the action happens and time it right.

Now steering this article away from "Lifes so hard for me because this is what I have to work with"

Giving its due, it is a workhorse, for me its taken thousands and thousands of photos. The 3 Mega Pixels isnt bad, and its taken lots of beating, including getting totally emerssed in water, after drying out infront of a heater for 3 days, it was back up and working. A further week, then even the consendation behind the lens had gone!

And it does look good, people still comment on how good it looks, even though its scratched to hell, and well out of date, although this last point can be used as a negative being shiny it could atracted the wrong kind of attention, although its never happened to me, and you just have to look at my gallery to of seen how much I have taken it out on the town. At least at this price it isnt a liabbility.

So those of you out there with £100s and possible £1000s worth of camera with the latest lenes, for every different situation, eat my dust. Its not what you got, but how you use it

But would I buy one of these now, NO WAY.

I find it extreamly limiting having to work so hard for each shot, and there is so much that its just not capable of doing. Really it does what it says on the tin, the perfect thing for having in your pocket and not having to worry about.
